After a month of back-and-forth communications, the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust has successfully secured the removal of officialncobraonline.org. This action follows last month’s takedown of NCOBRA.org, marking two consecutive victories in defending our protected Freedmen naming systems, cultural governance frameworks, and legal identity.
Why This Matters
The Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust has exclusive governance and naming rights under legally binding declarations, affidavits, and trademark agreements. Both officialncobraonline.org and NCOBRA.org were operating in direct violation of these protections—using terminology, frameworks, and governance claims that belong to the verified Freedmen beneficiary class.
These sites attempted to:
Misrepresent reparations governance authority.
Create consumer confusion about who represents the Freedmen community.
Solicit funds and memberships under a false identity framework.
By asserting our legal rights under the Lanham Act and U.S. copyright law, we ensured that the public and donors are not misled by unauthorized entities.
The Legal Process
This was not a quick or simple process. The Trust engaged in extensive correspondence with the hosting platform, providing:
Screenshots of infringing content.
Cultural governance declarations.
Trademark license agreements.
Proof of jurisdictional authority over Freedmen identity.
The persistence paid off. After a month of detailed submissions and clarifications, the hosting provider confirmed the removal of the infringing site.
A Pattern of Enforcement
The takedown of officialncobraonline.org is part of a larger pattern of enforcement by the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust. In just the last month, we removed NCOBRA.org for similar violations. These actions reaffirm that:
Our cultural and legal governance over Freedmen identity is actively defended.
Unauthorized use of our protected frameworks will not be tolerated.
We are building a precedent of successful takedowns that strengthen our legal position in future cases.
Continuing the Fight
Each removal is a step toward securing the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust’s rightful role as the governing body for Verified Freedmen. We will continue to monitor and challenge any entity that seeks to undermine or misappropriate our identity, governance systems, and reparations frameworks.
