Who We Are

How the Trust Operates
What Verification Means
Freedmen Nation is the membership and verification division of the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust (FRFT).
We are:
-
A Private Membership Association (PMA)
-
A private, trust-governed body with beneficiaries
-
The official entry point into the FRFT governance system
-
Not a government agency or state reparations portal

FRFT preserves identity integrity, protects status rights, and governs the Verified Freedmen community under private trust law.
FRFT’s verification system is the second step of the PMA membership process and beneficiary class.
It is a historical and genealogical confirmation model that evaluates:
-
Pre-1865 lineage records
-
1870 and 1880 census continuity
-
Vital records
-
Bureau records
-
Probate and estate documents
-
Other historical archives

Verification determines status within the Trust, not race, genetics, or state eligibility.
Verification through FRFT:
-
This confirms the status for beneficiaries’ approval.
-
Ensures historical accuracy
-
Prevents misclassification and identity dilution
-
Does not enroll anyone in a government program
FRFT functions through a unified structure:

-
Freedmen Nation PMA manages membership, genealogy, documentation, and verification
-
AFLF provides legal protection, enforcement, and advocacy

Together, they maintain the cultural, legal, and historical framework governing Verified Freedmen.
