Thank You — Together We Raised the $1,500 Needed

The Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust and the American Freedmen Legal Fund would like to extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who stepped forward and contributed to help us reach our $1,500 fundraising goal for our lobbying firm.

Over the past several days, supporters from across the community made donations of every size. Those contributions added up and allowed us to complete the payment necessary to maintain our lobbying engagement. Your support helped ensure that the work continues.

This effort demonstrates an important truth: institutional work requires consistent support. Advocacy, legal engagement, policy work, and representation in legislative spaces are not one-time events. They require professional services, sustained relationships, and the ability to respond when opportunities arise.

Our lobbying firm plays a role in helping advance issues that affect the descendants of American slavery and the broader institutional work being carried out through the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust.

It is also important for supporters to understand that these services are billed on a monthly basis. Maintaining the ability to engage in these spaces requires ongoing participation from those who believe in the mission and the long-term work being done.

Your contributions make that possible.

To everyone who donated, shared the campaign, or encouraged others to participate—thank you. Your support directly strengthens the institutional work being carried out and helps ensure that the voice of our community is present where important decisions are being discussed.

We encourage continued support of this work as we move forward.

Continue donating to the work we are doing.
