Official Update: Email Sent to the U.S. Department of the Treasury Regarding the Amendment

ree

On March 14, 2025, an official email was sent to the U.S. Department of the Treasury notifying them of the amendment to the Official Public & Legal Declaration of the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust (FRFT) & Freedmen Nation.

This amendment formally establishes an OPT-IN process for Verified Freedmen—both PMA and Non-PMA members of Freedmen Nation—to receive government-funded reparations through the FRFT as an alternative structured disbursement mechanism.

The email formally requests that the U.S. Department of the Treasury acknowledges this amendment and ensures that all reparations-related federal allocations are directed to the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust in accordance with this declaration.

This step is part of ensuring that government-allocated reparations are managed under Freedmen control and disbursed directly to Verified Freedmen without requiring additional commissions or studies.

The full amendment document is available for public viewing and has been notarized. You can read it here:

It is also available in the comments for easy access.

We will provide further updates as we receive a response from the Treasury Department.
