There has been ongoing confusion and, in some cases, misinformation about whether people are charged to participate in this work. This clarification is necessary and definitive:
The Trust, the Freedmen Nation PMA, and the Beneficiary framework do not charge anything.
Beneficiaries Are Never Charged
Individuals recognized or protected as Beneficiaries under the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust are never charged to:
Be named or recognized as a Beneficiary
Maintain Beneficiary standing
Receive Trust protection
Be included in Trust governance or records
Participate in Trust-directed processes
Have their status protected or enforced
Beneficiary status is not for sale.
It cannot be bought, upgraded, expedited, or maintained through payment.
Freedmen Nation PMA Does Not Charge Members or Beneficiaries
The Freedmen Nation PMA does not charge:
Membership fees
Dues
Application fees
Participation costs
Verification fees
Access fees
This applies equally to:
Members
Pending participants
Verified individuals
Beneficiaries connected to the Trust
No one is required to pay in order to belong, participate, or be protected.
Why This Structure Exists
The Trust and PMA were deliberately structured to eliminate financial coercion, exploitation, and gatekeeping—especially in spaces where identity and status have historically been monetized.
Charging Beneficiaries would undermine:
Fiduciary integrity
Equity and access
Cultural protection
Trust law principles
A Trust cannot ethically claim to protect people while charging them for that protection.
Donations Are Voluntary — Never Required
Some individuals voluntarily donate to support operations, legal advocacy, education, or enforcement work. These donations are optional and never connected to:
Beneficiary recognition
Status determination
Access to Trust protections
Priority treatment
Decision-making authority
Choosing not to donate has zero impact on participation or standing.
A Clear and Permanent Statement
To remove all ambiguity:
Beneficiaries are not charged.
Members are not charged.
Participation is not monetized.
Status is not transactional.
This is not a temporary policy.
It is a foundational principle of the Trust and the PMA.
Final Word
If you encounter claims suggesting that the Trust, the PMA, or the Beneficiary framework requires payment, those claims are false.
Protection is not for sale.
Belonging is not behind a paywall.
Beneficiaries are never charged.
That position is firm—and it is not changing.
