Mother’s Day Digital Freedmen Historical Markers

Honor Her. Record Her. Preserve Her Legacy.

Mother’s Day is a time to reflect on the women who shaped our lives — through strength, sacrifice, guidance, and unwavering love.

This year, the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust offers a structured way to go beyond a moment…

…and create something permanent.

The Digital Freedmen Historical Marker allows you to honor your mother, grandmother, or a loved one by placing her name into a recognized and recorded historical archive.

A Deadline That Matters

To ensure all Mother’s Day Digital Markers are completed and issued in time for recognition:

👉 All submissions and funding must be completed by

May 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM

This includes:

  • Initial sponsorship submissions

  • All flexible payment completions

  • Required information and agreements

Markers will not be issued or scheduled for Mother’s Day recognition unless full funding is completed by this deadline.

Submissions received after this date will be processed under the standard cycle.

Minimum $500 Sponsorship

What a Digital Freedmen Historical Marker Represents

This is not a social media post.

This is not a temporary tribute.

This is:

✔ A recorded placement within the Freedmen Historical Marker System

✔ A visible listing on the Official Historical Marker Map

✔ A documented legacy entry within an institutional archive

Each marker reflects identity, memory, and contribution — preserved with structure and intention.

What You Receive as a Sponsor

When you sponsor a Digital Freedmen Historical Marker, you receive:

  • Publicly visible on the Historical Marker Map

  • Appears as an active Orange Marker

2. Custom Dedication

  • Name recognition (individual or family)

  • Personalized inscription

  • Honoring your selected individual

3. Certificate of Historical Recognition

  • Official certificate issued by the Trust

  • Shareable and printable

  • Suitable for gifting or framing

4. Institutional Record Entry

  • Placement within a structured archive

  • Preserved within the Trust’s system

  • Transition into long-term historical record

5. QR-Linked Digital Access

  • Direct connection to the marker profile

  • Public accessibility through the map

6. Participation in Institutional Preservation

Your sponsorship directly supports:

  • Historical documentation

  • Platform expansion and visibility

  • Protection and enforcement infrastructure

  • Long-term institutional development

This is not passive support.

This is participation in building a permanent system.

Flexible Sponsorship Option (Limited Window)

Sponsors may contribute in flexible increments toward the $500 minimum Digital Marker threshold.

However:

👉 All flexible sponsorship balances must be completed by

May 1, 2026 at 11:59 PM

Partial sponsorships will not be placed on the Historical Marker Map until the full threshold is reached.

This structure allows you to begin now — but requires completion before the deadline for Mother’s Day issuance.

Flexible Sponsorship: You can now make a payment for your sponsorship at any amount, and the $500 should be fully covered before May 1, 2026, at 11:59 PM. This will give you time to pull family resources together for your Mother’s Day Digital Freedmen Historical Marker.

Why This Matters

Too often, the people who mattered most are remembered privately… but not recorded publicly.

The Digital Freedmen Historical Marker ensures that:

  • Names are preserved

  • Stories are acknowledged

  • Contributions are not lost

Final Call for Mother’s Day Submissions

If there is someone you want to honor — act now.

👉 Final Deadline:

May 1, 2026 – 11:59 PM

Closing

Legacy is not only what we remember.

It is what we record.

The Digital Freedmen Historical Marker ensures that those who shaped us are recognized within a system built to preserve them.
