Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust Issues Declaration of Exclusive Verification Authority

The Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust has officially issued its Declaration of Exclusive Verification Authority and Prohibited Affiliations to protect the integrity of its trust-based, status-driven identity system. This declaration serves as a critical step in reinforcing that only the Trust is authorized to verify Freedmen status under law—not third-party organizations, nonprofit collectives, or lineage-based networks operating outside our fiduciary governance.

The declaration outlines:

  • The exclusive control of verification under Tennessee Trust Law.

  • A firm prohibition on referrals to unauthorized vendors or unregulated groups.

  • A reaffirmation that lineage-only systems are not valid pathways to reparations through the Trust.

  • Enforcement protocols to ensure no administrator or affiliate compromises the trust-based process.

This declaration not only shields Verified Freedmen from exploitation—it also preserves the legal, historical, and sovereign foundations of our reparative work.

We verify status—not identity claims. We do not outsource justice.

This is how we protect the people the Trust was created to serve.
