A New Personal Declaration for Verified Freedmen For Evictions

ree

The Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust has released a new Personal Declaration of Temporary Economic and Housing Protection for Verified Freedmen and members currently in verification who are facing housing instability or eviction.

This declaration provides temporary protection during active reparative verification or legal advocacy. It affirms that the signer is under formal review through the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust and the American Freedmen Legal Fund, and that no Verified Freedmen should be displaced while the reparative process is ongoing.

The declaration is available by request only. To obtain one, individuals must already be Verified or in verification under the Trust’s status-based system.

If you are verified, log in to make your request. If you are not a Verified Freedmen, start your verification at https://www.freedmennation.org/status-check
