Freedmen Trust Expands Legal Authority Over Revenues, Land, and Business Operations

On May 12, 2025, the Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust issued an expanded Declaration of Revenue Governance, Monetization Rights & Financial Legitimacy, solidifying its sole authority over all financial operations conducted on behalf of Verified Freedmen.

This powerful legal document makes clear that the Trust is not a nonprofit and does not rely on tax-deductible donations, but instead functions as a sovereign financial body governed by Trust law—not corporate or state influence.

Key Provisions:

  • Section 1 confirms that all revenues—from licensing, sponsorships, contracts, and reparations contributions—are fully governed by the Trust.

  • Section 2 affirms that land held by the Trust may only be sold or leased to Verified Freedmen. Every transaction must follow deed restrictions that preserve ownership within the Freedmen class and block gentrification.

  • Section 3 declares the Trust’s right to create and operate for-profit businesses, including retail, agriculture, and technology companies—all returning their profits to the Trust for reinvestment.

  • Section 4 opens the door to investments in Freedmen-owned businesses, establishing a capital pipeline tied to strict Verified Freedmen ownership standards.

  • Section 5 reiterates the Trust’s commitment to ethical governance, private accounting, and internal audits—while rejecting all outside equity, public charity classifications, or 501(c)(3) oversight.

Why It Matters:

This declaration marks a historic moment: a shift away from begging for recognition and toward building our own economic structure—based on our identity, our verification, and our law.

It ensures the Trust remains protected from government overreach, nonprofit restrictions, and exploitation from outside investors.
