Boycott: Save Mart Ignores Verified Freedmen Complaint Despite Multiple Notices


Freedmen Nation is now officially boycotting Save Mart due to their continued refusal to respond to a formal civil rights complaint submitted on behalf of one of our Verified Freedmen.


This complaint, filed by the American Freedmen Legal Fund, detailed the discriminatory and degrading treatment of a Verified Freedmen customer at a Save Mart location. Despite multiple certified letters, emails, and public notices, Save Mart has failed to issue any response or acknowledgment.

📌 Timeline of Engagement:


  • May 7, 2025 – Formal complaint sent via certified mail and email to Save Mart Consumer Relations.

  • May 9, 2025 – Public access link to complaint letter published for transparency.

  • May 13, 2025 – Follow-up email sent with delivery confirmation and request for acknowledgment.

  • May 20, 2025 – Public update issued by Freedmen Nation announcing the incident.

  • June 10, 2025 – Final request for response submitted.

  • June 18, 2025 – No response received from Save Mart to date.

🚫 Our Response:


We are calling on all Verified Freedmen, supporters, and allies** to boycott all Save Mart stores until accountability is met with action.


We demand:


  • A formal written apology,

  • Disciplinary action for involved staff,

  • And fair compensation for the harm caused.


This boycott will remain in place until these demands are met.
