Boycott: Public Safety Notice: Do Not Engage or Retaliate in Provocation-Based Encounters

The Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust (FRFT) and the American Freedmen Legal Fund (AFLF) are issuing a public safety notice regarding a growing pattern of provocation-based content being created in public spaces.

We are specifically aware of an individual operating online under the name “Chud the Builder,” whose content reflects a repeated pattern of provoking confrontations, using inflammatory language, and escalating situations in order to capture reactions on video and monetize those interactions.

Members of the Freedmen population, as well as the broader public, should be aware that this type of content often targets individuals in everyday settings without warning.

In multiple instances, this individual has been observed carrying defensive items, including bear spray, and has also referenced or displayed the presence of a firearm during these encounters. This significantly increases the risk of escalation.

Public records further reflect that this individual has pending legal proceedings related to harassment, reinforcing the seriousness of this pattern of behavior.

This is not random behavior. It is deliberate.

The goal is to create a reaction.

The camera is already on.

And the outcome is designed to generate views, conflict, and revenue.

Because of this, we are advising the public, and especially members of the Freedmen population:

Do not engage. Do not retaliate. Do not escalate.

Even when the language is offensive or disrespectful, reacting physically or escalating the situation can:

• Put your safety at risk

• Expose you to legal consequences

• Be used against you in edited or monetized content

• Turn you into part of someone else’s revenue model

These encounters are often engineered to push people to a breaking point. That is the trap.

The most effective response is discipline.

If you encounter an individual associated with this type of content:

• Create distance immediately

• Do not argue or respond emotionally

• Do not make threats or sudden movements

• Be aware of your surroundings, especially if defensive items or weapons are present

• Document from a safe distance if necessary

• Contact local authorities if the situation escalates

Your safety is the priority.

Your restraint protects you.

And refusing to engage removes the very outcome these situations are designed to create.

This is not about silence. It is about strategy.

We will continue to address these patterns through proper channels, including platform enforcement, documentation, and formal advocacy, to protect the Freedmen population and the public at large.

But in the moment, in public, the best move is simple:

Do not give them what they are looking for.

Stay safe. Stay aware. Stay in control.
