B1Clothing Co. Becomes the First Official SOULAAN Licensed Seller as SOULAAN Achieves Federal Trademark Registration

The Freedmen Reparations Fund Trust proudly announces that B1Clothing Co. has become the first official licensed seller under the SOULAAN Commercial Licensing Program.

This milestone represents the beginning of a larger licensing system designed to protect the SOULAAN name while creating a clear pathway for approved businesses to participate responsibly.

B1Clothing Co. completed the required review and approval process, and its initial SOULAAN merchandise has been approved for licensed use.

The collection includes premium T-shirts, hoodies, crewnecks, headwear, embroidered elements, woven labels, and related merchandise.

A Historic First for the SOULAAN Licensing Program

The approval of B1Clothing Co. establishes the first completed licensed-seller pathway under the SOULAAN Commercial Licensing Program.

This is an important institutional milestone because it creates a working model for how approved businesses may responsibly produce and sell SOULAAN-branded merchandise.

The program was established to protect the SOULAAN name while creating legitimate commercial opportunities for approved sellers, creators, and business partners.

B1Clothing Co. now stands as the first company to complete that process.

Congratulations to the SOULAAN Trademark Owners

FRFT also congratulates the SOULAAN trademark owners on the successful federal registration of the SOULAAN service mark.

The United States Patent and Trademark Office registered the mark on the Principal Register on July 28, 2026, under Registration No. 8,369,670. The registration identifies Wallace Anthony M., T’roy Parks, and Dwayne Coleman Jr. as the owners.

The registration covers publishing services and the provision of information relating to a specific ethnic culture. It identifies first use as September 1, 2024, and first use in commerce as March 15, 2025.

This federal registration provides a stronger foundation for licensing, publishing, education, brand management, enforcement, and continued development of the SOULAAN name.

Licensing Creates Order, Accountability, and Opportunity

The SOULAAN Commercial Licensing Program creates a structured pathway for businesses seeking authorization to use the SOULAAN name and approved branding.

Rather than allowing unauthorized commercial use to continue without standards, the licensing program establishes a formal process for review, approval, brand protection, and responsible participation.

B1Clothing Co. becoming the first official licensee demonstrates that protection and opportunity can work together.

The program protects the name while giving qualified businesses a legitimate way to participate.

The Beginning of a Larger Licensing System

B1Clothing Co. is the first licensee, but this milestone is intended to establish a repeatable licensing standard for future sellers, designers, publishers, creators, and commercial partners.

Each future applicant will be required to complete the same controlled process. Approval will not be automatic, and each license will remain limited to the products, uses, designs, and channels authorized in writing.

FRFT recognizes B1Clothing Co. for completing the process and becoming the first business authorized under this new licensing framework.

We also congratulate the SOULAAN trademark owners on achieving federal registration of the SOULAAN mark and taking an important step toward protecting and responsibly developing the name for future generations.

This is not only a company milestone. It is the beginning of an institutional commercial licensing system built around authorization, accountability, protection, and opportunity.
